The Jeannette Area Historical Society Available Services
The Jeannette Area Historical Society provides educational and entertainment events related to the history of the City of Jeannette both at our showroom location in Jeannette or on client-site. Social Organizations, Business Associations and Educational Centers will benefit from our unique historical profile of Jeannette. The Showroom presents multi-themed exhibits focusing on entertainment, business, sports, recreation and glass producing history. Experienced curators are available to host groups as large as thirty attendees and may tender a formal presentation from our palatte of standard shows or a custom show designed to your specifications. Tours may be scheduled for mornings, afternoons or evenings and any age group may be accommodated. Group size is dependent upon your physical limitations. The Society can provide audiovisual equipment as required. Historical artifacts from our archives may be exhibited to enhance the presentation at request. The typical length of our presentations is one hour but may be modified as needed. The Society also provides an excellent research facility with archives containing over twenty-five thousand cataloged pictures, thousands of historic documents, cataloged newspapers and over two thousand documented hard artifacts. The Society requests a small honorarium for formal presentations, but the Society showroom is always available free of charge for members and visitors. Likewise, the Society provides complimentary assistance and facilities for research-oriented individuals. Feel free to contact the Society at jahs88@outlook.com to discuss your entertainment, educational or research needs. We look forward to assisting you.
